Ingram Micro Commerce & Lifecycle Services is the e-fulfilment (i.e. warehousing & returns) partner of major e-tailers including bol.com, Zalando and ASOS. We are also a Technology lifecycle business with clients such as Vodafone, Orange and Tele2.

Role:

As a Solutions Costing Engineer (f/m/d) you support Client Proposals and Implementations through Solutions Design and Costing.

Working location will either be in Grossbeeren (south of Berlin), GER or Swiebozin, POL.

Your tasks as a Solutions Costing Engineer will be:

  • Be a vital part of the Business Development team supporting the tender and the implementation phases of a client project.
  • Be the focal point for all important elements of a solutions design and costing (capacity, productivities, cost, headcount, SLAs, equipment and layout) during a proposal phase.
  • Create costing’s for proposal’s based on the client information (RFQ data), local data and the design input from the Engineering & IT specialists. The costing-file includes all cost elements as labor cost, CAPEX, OPEX, One-time Opex and building cost and generates as an output a bridge into a pricing sheet and the P&L.
  • Support client implementations through project cost control, scope creep analysis, creation of Business Requirement documents & work instructions and the planning and execution of the User Acceptance Testing.
  • Perform transportation network analysis using modeling tools.
  • Contribute actively to knowledge development of best-in-class supply-chain methods and keep up to date with relevant developments.

Ideal Experience / Interpersonal Capabilities:

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • More than 3 years relevant experience in industrial engineering preferably warehouse environment.
  • Strong analytical background, with experience in designing supply-chain solutions.
  • Experience in warehouse design as well as transportation network analysis using modeling tools.
  • Extensive Excel experience.
  • Experience in using modeling tools like CAST and MOST.
  • Awareness of new technologies and supply-chain trends, inside and outside the ‘4 - walls’.
  • Good knowledge of ERP and relevant software applications.
  • Knowledge of statistic process control.
  • Ability to handle complex problems.
  • Experienced in project- and change management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Reporting skills, able to write clear and concise reports.
  • Good knowledge of English language.
  • Good organizer and networker.
