At the Friedrichsdorf site, Valeo Telematik and Akustik GmbH develops and manufactures innovative power electronics for intelligent telematics, in order to network telecommunications, navigation, positioning and information technology and to increase driving comfort and traffic safety. In order to advance our further development, we are looking for you to join our team of experts at the next possible date.

These challenges await you
  • You will develop Linux applications in C++ for NAD (Network Access Device) of Valeo TCU (Telematic Unit).
  • You will get understanding of NAD SW Architecture, and become owner of some SW components.
  • You will be responsible for SW component delivery in line with ASPICE methodology: coding, documentation, unit testing, module testing.
  • You will support SW architects with design and requirements, integrators with releases, test engineers with test cases definitions.
  • You will conduct code peer reviews, work actively with the ticketing system, participate on standup meetings and report statuses to project managers.
Are you ready for it?

Mandatory Requirements
  • University degree in Computer Science or similar.
  • Min. 3 years of commercial software development experience.
  • Proficiency in C++ programming language and appropriate tools (IDE, Debuggers, CMake).
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming and design (principles, sw architecture).
  • Proficiency in Embedded Linux application development.
  • Be comfortable testing on HW and working close to electronics. Use debuggers, flashers, CAN communication HW, automotive diagnostic equipment etc.
  • Knowledge of GIT for source code management.
  • Target oriented personality with on time and quality delivery. Decent communication skills.
  • Very good knowledge of English, German is a plus
Desired (at least 60% overlap):
  • Working in a regulated industry (automotive, medicine, safety relevant etc.).
  • Technical knowledge and experience in telematics control units (LTE, 4G, 5G) or network access devices (IoT devices, wireless access points, ethernet routers...).
  • Expertise in cybersecurity domains - e.g. secure booting, flashing, networking, device communication.
  • Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Testing of SW components. Ability to define and apply CI rules together with DevOPS and Integrators.
  • Tools knowledge is an advantage: Yocto, BitBake, CANoe, Docker, Jenkins, SonarQube, Enterprise Architect, TeamForge, DOORS.
  • Soft skills: very good communication skills, ability to work in a team, solution oriented working method
