Software Architect - Power Electronics (m/f/d)

YOUR TEAM

You will operate in the field of electric drivetrain and powerelectronics functions within the domain Vehicle Motion & Energy and be part of a highly motivated and interdisciplinary developer team, which is responsible for innovative functions of the electric drivetrain. Our deliverables contains the machine control, application software within the powerelectronics, cross-connected software for vehicle functionalities as well es the core functions to drive the ecu across the Volkswagen Group product portfolio. Thereby, we enable future innovations, best-in-class driving adventure and deliver a significant contribution to the overall driver experience.
In your occupation, you will work in agile teams and contribute to the development of the most recent vehicle functionalities. You are responsible for the development of software components, software functions or entire software functionalities for the electric drivetrain and the powerelctronics. You directly shape the functional structure and the architectural design of the powerelectronic and the electric drivetrain.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Self-reliant control and project management of software system architecture for electric drivetrain and powerelectronics functions like schedule planning, requirements engineering or change management
• Responsibility of software architecture designs for electric drivetrain and powerelectronics functions
• Representation of software architecture designs in the department and the control unit projects
• Design and optimization of software architectural concepts for the unit powerelectronic in the domain vehicle chassis
• Further development and improvement of engineering processes for software architectural design

WHO YOU ARE

• Successfully completed study in the field of computer science, mechatronics, electrical engineering, electrical machine control or a comparable course of studies
• At least three years of professional experience in software development, preferably in the automotive industries
• Very good knowledge of software architectural designs for ecelctric control units, its development process and the AUTOSAR standard
• Very good knowledge about model-based function development with MATLAB / Simulink and dSPACE TargetLink
• Proactive, supportive, structured and solution-oriented and able to bring experience and methodological knowledge into this new organization
• Fluent German and English language skills
