Sound interesting?Then come and join our global team asSoftware Architect (f/m/d) for CT Postprocessing Applications to contribute to the success of Siemens Healthineers.Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.This position is full-time or part-time with a minimum of 30h/week.Your tasks and responsibilities:
  • As part of our CT architecture team you will be responsible for the architecture and pre-development of innovative software solutions which enable our customers to efficiently process and read CT images
  • You will work with product owners, project managers and clinical coaches to jointly translate clinical needs into practical SW solutions that are scalable and reliable
  • You will work with the international development teams (e.g. in Bangalore) that are responsible for the SW implementation; you will guide and coach them, and together make clear and sustainable technical decisions that ensure that the quality, time and cost objectives are met
  • You will drive constant improvements and redesigns to adapt the architecture and implementation to new platforms and make the most of new technologies
  • As a coding architect you will drive forward the development of prototypes and define options for implementation
  • Together with other architects and software developers, you will work on cross-cutting architecture topics and on maintaining communal code components and tools

  • You have a degree in computer science or health informatics, engineering or a related discipline, or you have a comparable qualification
  • You hold a SW architect’s certification (company-specific like Siemens’ SWA/SSWA, or from an independent organization), or you can otherwise demonstrate in-depth knowledge of SW architecture methods.
  • You have many years of relevant professional experience in developing medical software, in shaping the architecture of complex SW systems and in making well-founded and convincing technical decisions that guide the teams towards short-term and long-term goals
  • You have demonstrable experience in delving into and in understanding major existing code bases
  • You can ideally offer experience with .NET and the development of Siemens Healthineers’ native/syngo-based software products
  • A good understanding of workflows and data flows in radiology is desirable
Your attributes and skills:
  • You have very good English language skills (spoken and written). Additional language skills, such as German, are desirable
  • You are particularly keen to learn, and willing to keep familiarizing yourself with new topics in a dynamic and agile environment
  • You are willing to travel internationally for business (approx. 10%)
  • You have an analytical, customer-oriented mindset, set high quality standards and expect timely results
  • You speak the language of software developers and your good communication skills enable you to work in an interdisciplinary environment and manage the various stakeholders
