Job Description

Complex mechatronic systems should be developed in detail coming from their entirety. This requires a very good technical overview of the products and development processes as well as an affinity for interdisciplinary collaboration. Does this sound like a role for you? As a Senior System Engineer (f/m/d) you will form a central point for the development of our products and take responsibility for challenging projects by
  • being responsible for detailing, reviewing and revising the requirements of the various functions and subsystems.
  • developing and refining system architectures with the project team. You keep a close look on system stability, safety and system performance especially under critical conditions.
  • being ready to resolve the challenges between working according to the classic V-model and agile working methods with the team and developing customized processes for instagrid.
  • systemically supporting the development from concept to production and enabling the release of manufactured products via the development of end-of-line tests.
  • considering hardware, embedded software, and mechanics as equal elements of system design and seeking to develop the best systemic solution fulfilling the requirements.

Requirements
  • You have successfully completed a degree in mechatronics, electrical engineering, physics, (techno-) mathematics, aerospace engineering or similar, ideally with a master’s degree or a PhD.
  • You have 5+ years of experience as a system engineer and have already been able to demonstrate your creativity and ability to find solutions in the architecture of complex mechatronic systems.
  • You have expertise and experience in hardware and (embedded) software development to be consulted by the respective experts as system expert.
  • Your experience in LiIon batteries and inverter technology is an advantage.
  • Ideally, you have already gained experience with mechanical designs and testing as well as with system simulation.
  • You have initial experience in project management.
  • You have very good English skills. German skills would be a plus.
