As of now, we are looking for a Senior System Administrator/Engineer (m/f/d), for our growing IT team in Hamburg. You can join us either in one of our offices in Hamburg, Berlin or Barcelona or 100% remote within the EU/within Europe.
As part of our team of highly skilled and motivated System Administrators/Engineers, you will be responsible for automating IT-related processes and implementing Infrastructure/IT as Code where you can add your own ideas and define where the internal infrastructure of the company is heading. The goal is to ensure that our infrastructure and processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Your field of work:
  • Create and design new services for our Service Catalog.
  • Maintain essential IT operations/services which include a variety of SaaS applications and AWS hosted applications.
  • Performing maintenance tasks such as application upgrades, remediating OS vulnerabilities, and asset management.
  • Provide internal IT and Application support, including troubleshooting outages, retrieving and evaluating logs and performing root cause analysis.
  • Administer systems using automated configuration management utilities.
  • Ensure that assigned IT service incidents are handled effectively and root-cause problem analysis is undertaken where appropriate, to reduce the number and severity of future operational incidents.
  • Share knowledge actively with the rest of the IT team to empower them learn and improve the effectiveness of IT Services.
Your profile:
  • 3+ years experience of implementation of IT Infrastructure and Administration or related experience; some high-growth operations or startup experience is preferred.
  • Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with a professional sense of ownership and motivation.
  • Good troubleshooting skills.
  • Significant teamwork and collaboration skills. Ability to interact effectively with organisational personnel, external customers, and 3rd party suppliers.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code like Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Experience managing monitoring solutions like CloudWatch, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, and Prometheus. Experience with Container Services.
  • Knowledge or familiarity with the management of various services incl.:
    • Atlassian Stack (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket),
    • SaaS ( Gsuite, Slack, Workday, DocuSign, ... ),
    • Identity Providers (Okta, Onelogin and Active Directory),.
    • AWS (incl. services like EC2, ELB, RDS and S3)
  • Ability to script yourself out of a problem (Bash, Python).
