Purpose & Overall Relevance For The Organization

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Solutions Architect, you will join our team to help scale Digital Data Science and analytics solutions. You will create best in class digital data solutions into the E2E business landscape at Adidas. Within our organization, you will support the promotion of data science and its benefits and help developing an innovation fostering network within the global data science, data engineering and architecture ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-design, improve, and automate the data science platform and our machine learning pipeline to facilitate our data science activities and use cases.
  • Design, develop and apply full stack integrated and scalable machine learning and data science solutions either individually or in a team through building integrated, automated, and scalable data science solutions taking into account best practice design principles, cost, performance and scalability.
  • Lead engineering development teams to fulfill specified scope within the chosen delivery model, removing technical impediments in collaboration with key partners on IT, digital and business side.
  • Accountable for quality of technical built solutions within the individual’s area of responsibility
  • Ensure addressing of technical depth of build solution to meet performance, maintenance, and compliance requirements.
  • Support the operational excellence of built solutions.
  • Continuously improve our methodologies and challenge the status quo, raising the standards for faster delivery.
  • At any given time you will be managing 1-2 globally scaled projects.
Essential Experience & Skills
  • University degree in Computer Science or Engineering (M.Sc.).
  • 8+ years of experience in analytics in a Digital and/or eCommerce environment, strong knowledge of the digital industry (products, technologies, solution providers, commercial models, trends).
  • Fluent English both verbally and written.
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills, comfortable presenting complex topics to stakeholders at various organizational levels both in person and remotely.
  • Strong architecture and solution design capability.
  • Experience on data aggregations, data models and automation of data mining algorithms and pipelines.
  • Good Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, software design principles and test-driven development.
  • Expert Programming experience with Python, with strong ability to refactor codes in a new environment.
  • Experience with working on cloud and non-cloud infrastructures and services.
  • Strong experience in AWS.
  • Experience with Big Data technologies.
  • Strong Knowledge of Spark Applications lifecycle.
  • Experience with containerization technologies.
  • Experience with SQL / NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with DevOps and automation tools.
  • Scala experience would be desirable.
  • Knowledge of data science solution lifecycle and development frameworks.
