Amazon Flex works directly with independent contractors – called partners – to make deliveries to our customers. With Amazon Flex, partners act as their own boss. They can build their own schedule and choose from different types of opportunities (scheduled-ahead blocks, instant offers), all while making great earnings. Amazon Flex is powered by a mobile app that works in concert with our advanced systems, allowing partners to sign in, grab an offer for a time, check out a map of the location, and more.

We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Marketing for Amazon Flex. In this role, you will be the single threaded leader responsible for leading a team of marketers across communications, product marketing, acquisition, engagement, and brand. Your team will own acquiring drivers, communicating with them throughout their lifecycle, keeping them engaged in the program, and launching new features and products. You will own strategy, management, measurement, testing, and execution of Amazon Flex marketing channels. As a senior leader on the Amazon Flex team, you will work closely with business, management, the leadership team, and other stakeholders like Legal and PR within the business unit to ensure alignment to overall objectives.

In This Role, You Will
  • Work at the strategic level to champion bold and creative ideas
  • Own top-level business goals, and ensure that the team meets its objectives
  • Be responsible for delivery partner acquisition, including managing acquisition funnels and developing marketing acquisition materials
  • Develop all communications with our delivery partners, maintaining the Amazon Flex brand voice
  • Write business plans/proposals to champion new channel testing with business and finance partners
  • Maintain and refine scalable, repeatable and comparable methods of measurement and performance tracking for campaigns
  • Earn trust from internal and external partners, manage multiple projects, and balancing contending priorities in a rapidly changing environment
  • Recruit, develop, and inspire a team of world-class marketers

Basic Qualifications
  • A/BS required or equivalent related experience
  • Experience with developing and managing marketing programs and/or channel programs and demonstrated success in creating professional, compelling and generation strategies
  • Marketing communications experience
  • Extensive experience hiring and developing high caliber teams; proven ability to recruit, manage, develop, and retain a high-performing team in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Strong sense of brand and editorial voice; the ability to harmonize message across multiple channels and marketing vehicles
  • Highly developed and polished written and verbal communication skills. Successfully able to present to and influence management at the VP level and above and are capable of writing and owning large, complex documents.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or Master’s degree
  • Experience with marketing communications
  • Excel at cross-group collaboration, problem solving and has a bias for action
  • Strong project management skills, creative thinking and analytical ability
  • Motivated self-starter who thrives on working in complex and challenging environments of a rapidly evolving business
  • Ability to identify and solve complex, ambiguous business problems
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously while using sound business judgement
  • Comfortable w/ ambiguity, set vision - able to establish marketing direction and vision across the entire organization
