 Our mission and our setup
  • We are developing world-class products for the automated and human-enhanced analysis of news content such as online and print articles, blog posts and social media entries. We apply methods from Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning and Knowledge Graphs in our data pipelines and implement applications that enable the business team to digest and enhance the results into actionable insights for our clients
  • We directly work with the business team to exactly understand the requirements and focus on the right priorities
  • Our data platform is a hybrid cloud setup and is optimized for robust high-volume production.
  • We all strive to keep up to date with new technologies and methodologies and streamline their adoption by the team
Aufgaben

Our products connect technology and consulting. We apply concepts from data science, information retrieval, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, information visualization, large-scale system design and of course user interface design.

You work in a highly motivated team with experienced developers and architects. Excellent work and continuous feedback to learn and grow together is an important CULTURE driver for the team. Agile principles are lived from strategy definition to operational implementation.

Apply your expertise on top of a hybrid cloud computing stack, broad software technologies and open source tools and turn your vision of data analysis into elegant software solutions.

Profil
  • You have a university degree, ideally with a specialization in computer science / business informatics and at least 5 years of professional experience as a software developer
  • Sound knowledge of agile development methods, Clean Code Developer principles, TDD, CI/CD
  • Profound knowledge in Java
  • Safe handling of large amounts of data, and knowledge of corresponding design patterns, data structures and technologies such as Kafka, PubSub or Amazon SQS
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL-databases
  • Experience with Python or Typescript or at least another statically typed language
  • Proficiency in English
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with concepts such as containers, Kubernetes, and serverless computing
  • Experience with Elasticsearch
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience in big data projects, advanced analytics (e.g., machine learning, artificial intelligence) and analytical programming languages
  • Some form of reference work, e.g. on github
