Your role in our team

  • You work with image data from the pharmaceutical area
  • You implement machine learning algorithms, interpret, and visualize their results and present your findings
  • You integrate your code into production systems
  • You develop and optimize existing machine-learning models, especially in the area of computer vision and deep learning
  • You collaborate with other data scientists and developers in the team and take responsibilities outside pure data science when needed

Your Profile

You are excited about all kinds of data science and machine learning and want to be an integral part of a team, exchange ideas, and share your knowledge. You are interested in software development and think data science software should fulfill the same standards as other software. You want to learn new things, not only around data science, and want to understand problems before you solve them. You are self-reliant and know how to approach new problems and care about delivering value beyond building prototypes.

  • A degree in Computer Science, Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
  • Good knowledge of Python and experience developing productive software components with it
  • Experience with the training and practical application of one or more deep-learning models
  • Proficiency in software development processes, such as code review, version control, and testing
  • Experienced with data processing tools, including but not limited to Pandas (Python), SQL, and visualization libraries (i.e., matplotlib, plotly, holoviews)
  • A solid foundation in mathematics and statistics, including knowledge about machine learning algorithms
  • Willingness to be involved in the development and operation of software beyond pure Data Science
  • Fluency in the English language is required; German language skills would be beneficial
