As a Senior Regional Customer Quality Engineer for Wolfspeed in EMEA, you will be responsible for driving alignment of customer and Wolfspeed quality requirements and commitments for our Power business. You will be the primary quality representative for EMEA customers, responsible for coordinating efforts within Wolfspeed to respond to customer quality inquiries and issues. This position will report to the EMEA Customer Quality Director.
Responsibilities:
  • Primary quality representative to external customers, responsible for continually improving customer satisfaction of Wolfspeed’s products, processes and services
  • Manage and drive timely closure of customers’ quality issues collaborating with Business CQEs, business teams, failure analysis, factories and other support teams
  • Primary interface with customers on technical evaluation of customer returns, collect and assess customer’s failure description and ensure information completeness in collaboration with local EMEA FAEs
  • Alignment with Sales and Business on the strategic direction needed to support customer quality requirements and objectives
  • Support the sales team for RFQs, and position Quality as key business enabler
  • Direct, manage and coordinate improvement activities of cross-functional groups outside of the quality organization to achieve organizational excellence
  • Drive alignment on information and documentation of product quality related topics for customers
  • Develop key customers relationship and gather necessary customer approvals
  • Monitor customers scorecards and KPIs and actively drive customer quality improvement programs
  • Promote the Company’s quality strategy, culture, objectives and initiatives through proactive customer interaction
  • Negotiate Quality Agreements as needed and help facilitate customer audit requests.
  • Receive assignments in the form of broad objectives and translate into detailed action plans to meet objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Solid background in quality systems and processes.
  • Good knowledge of semiconductor wafer fabrication, assembly and test operations.
  • Very good understanding of the global automotive business, automotive quality requirements and expectations.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills in working with external customers as well as other internal groups, managers, and stakeholders.
  • The ability to operate in a fast paced, highly dynamic environment, at a detailed execution level, as well as on a tactical / strategic level
  • Demonstrated capability of interacting with senior leaders through the organization. Ability to work in large, complex, global environment
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical or related degree.
  • Fluent in English, German would be a plus.
Nice to have
  • Experience in Power Electronics and/or Silicon Carbide is a plus.
  • Good understanding of VDA standards.
