Senior Business Controller (m/f/d) MedTech Franchise Ethicon

Full Time or Part Time 80%

Johnson & Johnson MedTech Germany is looking for a Senior Business Controller (m/f/d) for the Ethicon Franchise. In this role you lead, shape and coordinate the delivery of the financial agenda, acting as a highly valued business partner to the Franchise Leadership Team and as critical member of Finance Team. This includes the development, execution and review of strategies and action plans to improve the value of our portfolio and go-to-market models. Taking a lead-role in the planning of revenue, allocation of resources and the management of the financial risks and opportunities. Improving current practices and developing new solutions and strategies to strengthen the financial knowledge and operating performance. You provide guidance to one direct report.

Your Tasks & Responsibilities
  • As a key member of the Ethicon Leadership Team, you will collaborate with senior leadership to influence and craft business decisions and lead change upon a deep understanding of current and emerging market trends, customer needs and long- term financial benefits
  • Develop business plan and forecasts in close partnership with the commercial organization, engage in Franchise strategy adaption, ensuring appropriate target setting and resourcing behind strategic priorities
  • Run the delivery of the financial commitments, balance risks and opportunities and actively partner with the Ethicon Franchise leader and leadership team
  • Collaborate with the regional finance team, FP&A CoE in Pinewood, Tax and Global Services Finance in Prague in support of month-end closing, reporting and planning cycles
  • Actively participate in regional finance projects or workstreams to help shape the finance function for the future. This includes the major Finance transformation project SigniFI.
  • Build and maintain relations with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide managerial guidance to one Finance Analyst, actively engage in attracting and developing talents, improving the power of diversity and inclusion
  • Meet all compliance requirements: SOX, HCC/HCBI/IAPP, etc.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks and initiatives/projects as required

Qualifications

Your Qualification Portfolio
  • A minimum of a Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is required; MBA, CMA, and/or CPA is a plus
  • A minimum 8 years of experience in Finance is required, including experience in leading teams and collaborating with senior management, preferable in a multinational multi-matrix environment
  • A commercial mindset with a strong financial backbone, with proven track record in managing a P&L and influence fact-based decision making.
  • Strong collaborative, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build trust amongst business leaders and finance colleagues
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity, ability to deal with complexity and drive outcomes
  • Inclusive team player across levels, functions and reporting lines
  • Highly computer literate, experienced with ERP systems and Microsoft packages
  • Fluent in English and in German
