(Senior) Associate (m/f/d) Airport Business

MAI provides best practice solutions for the entire airport lifecycle, including bid advisory services for airport concessions, airport masterplan and design, operational readiness and airport transfer (ORAT), efficient and sustainable airport operations, optimization of aviation and non-aviation revenues, tailor-made training programs, as well as comprehensive airport management.

Currently we are looking for an experienced airport professional for the position “(Senior) Consultant” (m/f/d) Airport Business” to join our Business Development and Service Delivery Team.

• Provide strategic and technical as well as operational and organizational advice to international clients in order to ensure robust, secure, sustainable and performing business across all airport areas
• Manage projects related to strategy development, change management, corporate development, process analysis, technology improvement and implementation, and service quality at international airports
• Support airport operators and key stakeholders in the development and implementation of strategic as well as operational initiatives
• Act as airport business specialist across multiple projects of technical, financial, operational, commercial as well as technological nature

• University degree in engineering disciplines, business administration, aviation management or similar. Previous experience in consulting business is of advantage
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in airport business working on varied scopes related to strategy development, operational improvement, project management, business case development, certification, ConOps, etc
• Demonstrable experience managing upwards, especially shareholders and complex organizational set-ups
• Highly motivated personality with a strong get-things-done attitude and a pragmatic and positive approach
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary professional environments, with a customer oriented mindset and strong conflict-management skills
• Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively and live abroad combined with an above average mental resilience and flexibility to work under deadline pressure
• Excellent English language skills (oral and written), other language skills are advantageous, good German language skills preferred. Very good PC skills, experience in working with MS Office Products, CRM Tools
• Certified clean police record for airport pass application and police background check
