Due to the growth of the subject St. George’s School seeks an additional well-qualified professional to teach Computing in our flourishing secondary department, to start in January 2024.

The School

Serving the international community in Duisburg-Düsseldorf for over 10 years, St. George’s School combines an enriching curriculum with family orientated care. The school has grown from small beginnings into a thriving community of approximately 700 pupils, aged from 2-18 and representing a broad range of nationalities.

The National Curriculum is taught throughout the school, and we offer the IB Diploma in our Sixth Form.

The Location

The Role

We are seeking to appoint a qualified teacher of Computer Science to work in our well-established secondary school.

The successful applicant will be a dynamic teacher with experience of enabling pupils to achieve their potential. We are looking for the right balance between experience, enthusiasm and a passion for teaching which will inspire our pupils.

Computer Science is a core part of the curriculum for Middle School. The curriculum teaches both functional IT skills to support our pupils globally. All teachers and every pupil has a MacBook. IT is well integrated in subjects throughout the school as well as coding and development as the preparation for Computer Science IGCSE.

All applicants should hold a valid teaching qualification. We consider a degree in education (e.g. B.Ed./M.Ed./Lehramt), or postgraduate teaching certificate (e.g. PGCE) as valid. English language teaching certificates (e.g. TEFL/IELTS/CELTA) are not sufficient.
