Sales Manager (m/f/d) Digital Surgery & Capital Equipment - Germany

Description

The Sales Manager (m/f/d) VELYS Digital Surgery & Capital Equipment is responsible for developing, shaping & executing capital sales strategies at national level, reporting directly to the Business Unit Director for VELYS Digital Surgery & Capital Equipment. He/She develops and maintains outstanding relationships with the company’s prospective and installed base customers on clinical and non-clinical stakeholder level and builds up and manages a team of Capital Sales Consultants to ensure establishing the robotic, digital, and capital business of Depuy Synthes. The incumbent works along closely with Marketing colleagues and Business Unit Lead to ensure broad awareness of the Mission and Vision of VELYS Digital Surgery and its solutions and creates a meaningful impact in the market.

Responsibilities
  • Builds, leads & oversees a cross functional team in executing the capital sales cycle
  • Establishes partnerships with medical societies, opinion leaders, customers, and other enterprises. Considered expert in field within the organization.
  • Executes a stakeholder mapping strategy to target key decision makers in prospective customers, including, but not limited to: C-Suite, HCPs, IT, Legal.
  • Builds inroads with key internal cross functional teams, including but not limited to: Sales, Marketing, Services & Solutions, Strategic Account Management, Legal, HCC, Finance, Supply Chain.
  • Manages a “funnel” of capital sales opportunities sufficient to ensure that annual quotas are met or exceeded.
  • Submits consistent and timely reporting of sales opportunities, lead follow up and forecasts and other reporting as required.
  • Demonstrates ability to sell a breakthrough technology and establish a new marketplace.
  • Demonstrates ability to manage, and close capital sales cycles for products that sell for more than 500k EUR.
  • Comfortable and facile with the use of financing and leasing products to close business as well as selling service contracts
  • Transitions “ownership” of account to Sales Managers post sale installation
  • Search for new targets through systematic assessment of market trends & unmet customer needs
  • Coordinate & attend sales training meetings, trade shows, roadshows, product trainings and other events that would tend to promote and give visibility to the companies’ products

Qualifikationen

Experience
  • 8+ years demonstrated level of achievement in Surgical or Medical Capital Equipment sales, especially leasing & renting of capital equipment
  • Deep understanding of the financial operations of hospitals in Public and Private sectors
  • Customer Oriented: Demonstrated ability to translate clinical benefits of products to economic value to the health care provider and is comfortable with financial based selling tools
  • Commercial Skills: Demonstrated Executive selling experience background (CEO/CFO/COO/CIO of hospitals) and ability to interact with credibility with surgeons and HCPs
  • Teamwork and collaboration: Proven track record in connecting people and getting projects off the ground in a matrix structure, leads by influence
  • Results oriented & Analytical skills: Excellent business acumen
  • Excellent organizational talent and process orientation
  • Experience in surgical Orthopedics and Capital equipment usage in OR setting highly desirable
  • Experience in OR Navigation and Imaging technologies highly desirable
