The head of sales development manages a team of business development representatives that is responsible for:

  • End2end 4rQ pipeline creation
  • Definition and execution of marketing and sales campaigns
  • Back2Basics and overall Pipeline Quality and Health
  • Definition and execution of strategic sales programs, e.g. IB upgrade, move to cloud, renewal uplifts, compliance, up & cross sell….
  • MQL inbound and outbound
  • Market Positioning and Influencer management
  • Reference Liaison

The team is furthermore responsible for identifying relevant new business opportunities and designing "go-to-market" plans to deliver measurable and significant revenues. Consistently meets with potential customers and current customers to build pipeline.

The team is actively and frequently customer facing, providing the value proposition to business or org leaders, qualifying opportunities, and selling the value of the oracle solution. Provides daily operations management of lead qualification functions. Participates, as a team member, in strategic and tactical planning for the Apps organisation. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Participates in the recruiting process and provides hiring recommendations to senior management. Manages budget. Provides support to marketing and sales programs.

Experience qualifying prospects and customers; understanding of the sales cycle process. Strong leadership skills. Strong Oracle product knowledge preferred. BA/BS preferred. Experience managing staff. Manage and control activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensure appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet business needs.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS


  • Able to inspire and lead a high-performance team – management experience is desired
  • Experience of working with a matrix structure with hard and dotted reporting lines
  • Sales Experience in at least one of the areas HCM, CX or ERPM
  • Financial management capability – Demonstrated ability to manage sales pipeline and deliver accurate forecasts and drive change in the sales function
  • Industry experience – sufficient experience, must have a minimum 5 years in either consulting services or IT sales. Proven network of strategic business and IT relationships in the German Applications market place
  • Business planning capability – Demonstrated ability to articulate a strategy and plan to build a sales business based on financial objectives, territory planning, marketing plans, etc.
  • Networking – able to build teams internally and externally, be visible and accountable and able to maintain a high level of working in an organisation that is constantly evolving.

The team is actively and frequently customer facing, providing the value proposition to business or org leaders, qualifying opportunities, and selling the value of the oracle solution. Provides operations management of lead qualification functions. Contributes to strategic and tactical planning for the division. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Participates in the recruiting process and makes hiring decisions. Manages budget.

Experience qualifying prospects and customers; understanding of the sales cycle process. Strong leadership skills. Strong Oracle product knowledge. BA/BS preferred. Experience managing staff. Assist in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interact across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Able to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations important.
