At Evotec’s headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, the Internal Audit & Risk Managementunit is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated

Risk & SOX Specialist (f/m/d)

Full-time and permanent

Your key responsibilities:

  • Planning, implementing and coordinating all phases of SOX compliance

  • Develop and provide routine training to the control owners to ensure a thorough understanding of the SOX program

  • Ensuring the implementation, ongoing development and documentation of Evotec´s SOX 404 framework, including the preparation and alignment of supporting materials, guidelines etc.

  • Being the main contact person for internal and external audit teams to ensure timely and efficient testing approach and issue resolution

  • Close cooperation with all Evotec entities to assess new processes or change existing processes to identify financial and operational risks before launch and give recommendations when it is needed

  • Prepare group SOX related reports and presentations for the Management Board as well as for the Audit & Compliance Committee

  • Assist with special projects (i.e. process improvements, system implementations, control design)

  • Supporting the Global Risk Manager in designing, implementing and further developing the internal risk management methodology and global framework

  • Organizing, coordinating and executing workshops for the identification and evaluation of key risks for the quarterly risk reporting

  • Supporting the global business entities in establishing risk management structures

Your ideal qualifications:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting

  • Sound working experience in auditing or internal control management

  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, critical thinking, as well as ability to identify problems and propose solutions

  • Very good understanding of financial reporting risks and appropriate control design

  • Good understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley, SEC rules, PCAOB requirements and COSO framework

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, across all hierarchy levels

  • Proficiency in written and verbal English, German is a plus

  • Willingness to go on national and international business trips, demand-related
