YOUR TASKS

Nonlinear silicon photonics: light stopping and compression

  • Simulation of front-pulse interactions with a split-step Fourier method
  • Development of waveguide designs with required dispersion
  • Realization of pulse compression experiment with pump and signal pulses
  • Realisation of light stopping experiments with storing and releasing pump pulses
  • Participation in teaching activities
YOUR PROFILE

  • M.Sc. or PhD in physics/electrical engineering with focus on integrated/nonlinear optics
  • Experience with pump probe experiments is beneficial
  • Experience with integrated and waveguide optics setups is beneficial
OUR OFFER

  • The employment contract based on contracts for the German civil service (13 TV-L, 4000 €/month gross income at least, depending on experience level) including health insurance covering dependent members of the core family. Accident insurance for employee and wages paid on sick leave.
