Your responsibilities

Taking on this regional role you will join an international management team where you will become a key partner for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. B ased at the VELUX Hamburg office, you will be a part of the Global Finance and Performance Organisation, reporting directly to t he Senior Director, Finance and Performance Management, Sales & Marketing in Hørsholm, Denmark.

You will work closely with the Regional Senior Vice President as well as the Regional Management Team, taking a joint responsibility for converting group level strategic initiatives into regional strategies and plans and further participate in developing regional specific initiatives and plans to ensure optimal regional performance. More specifically the primary tasks are:

  • Develop the Regional Finance Team of 4 Finance Business Partners based in Hamburg and 1 Senior Business Finance Analyst based in Aarburg, Switzerland

  • Ensuring a data-oriented approach to performance management, using a fact-based business view as the basis for recommendations and discussions within the Regional Management Team

  • Support processes and tasks within the performance model and annual plan for the region

  • Prepare Target setting and Rolling Forecast

  • Helping the company to achieve its current strategy and goals and recommend process improvements

  • Develop all financial planning and reporting processes, including strategic plans, budgets, latest estimates and monthly/quarterly forecasts, as well as establish ROI analysis in business case analyses.

  • Support the preparation of financial planning and analysis related to annual operating plans and bi-annual 5-year business planning cycles.

    • You can expect to travel approximately 15-20 days annually.
Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who will bring a new vision to the region and to Finance Partnering by combining a financial background with deep business knowledge and experience. Someone who brings experience from large, complex and internationally operating companies with a full value chain. Furthermore we expect that you:

  • You are experienced with finance business partnering and have a solid leadership experience in relevant finance & performance management functions

  • Have excellent storytelling and presentation skills, incl. the ability to synthese insights into easily understood conclusions and recommendations for non-finance colleagues

  • Possess knowledge about economic and business conditions, with experience with focusing on costs, profit, new business opportunities and activities

  • Are a proficient user of SAP and other relevant platforms and dashboards, e.g. SAC or Power BI

  • Through a forthcoming manner you are able to establish and maintain cooperative relations with people at all levels internally as well as externally

  • You speak and write both English and German fluently.
