To support our IT Team in Troisdorf we are looking for a Working Student - IT System Administration (m/f/d) in part -time for the period of 6 months.
  • Provides operational support of implementation and all aspects of the client infrastructure and systems
  • Works within the international team helping and solving technical issues in Varian’s international sites
  • Works within a global team to support end users and client devices domestically in Troisdorf, Cologne area
  • Interacts with both technical and non-technical personnel, monitors and enforce SLA’s and follows problems to resolution
  • Drives planning, implementation and documentation
  • Contributes to development of Varian IT by participating in international projects
  • Maintain relationships with third party providers and monitors Service Level Agreements
  • Applies all QA Procedures as assigned
  • Maintains password, data and system security according to IT security processes and standards
  • Assists and supports the client services team in other areas as requested by the line manager
Job Requirements
  • Enrolled at the University or apprenticeship in computer science or equivalent desirable
  • First experience in a role as System Administrator or System Engineer desirable
  • Basic knowledge of and professional technical experience with Intel based servers and PCs/laptops, Windows client OS, applications run in an office environment
  • Operating systems (Windows 10 and Server), Microsoft Office Suite, other Microsoft software
  • Basic network troubleshooting skills
  • Fluency in German and English, written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel occasionally domestically or internationally
