Our R&D group „Ultrasonic Flow Metering”, located in HPS, is working on enhancements and new product developments of high-precision devices for flow measurements targeting the industrial gas market. The position advertised here is located at Mainz-Kastel, close to Frankfurt, which constitutes the Honeywell Center of Excellence – Ultrasonics. The site hosts a broad R&D organization that covers all development areas as well as on-site production and is excellently embedded in Honeywell’s international ecosystem.

Tasks

In this position as Ultrasonic Flow Metering Product and Application Specialist, you will be an essential part of the Ultrasonic Flow Measurements development team. Through your application knowledge and insights in how the products operate under a large range of installation conditions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build the link between the technical challenges in the field to product development
• Drive customization of the product, from beginning to the end. Accompany the entire life cycle of the product on the part of R&D, especially during development, to ensure the final product will meet customer requirements. This includes assessing the suitability of the product to ensure the customer satisfaction, determining the required degree of adaptation and its feasibility.
• Continuous improvement of product quality, meter accuracy, data analysis and parameter optimization.
• Drive optimization of processes, such as wet calibrations and FPY (first pass yield).
• Help to solve complex customer issues (3rd level technical field support). Investigate in field issues, analyze and reproduce them and provide solutions for the customer.
• Close cooperation with the sales, purchasing, service and production departmentsWorking together with the P&E Team contributing to technical assessments of large tender proposals.

Requirements

CRITICAL EXPERIENCE

• Good technical product expertise of ultrasonic meters in various installation conditions (USM Product Specialist)
• Hands on mentality to help fixing customer issues on short notice.
• Experience in customer support is a benefit

EDUCATION

• Educated to a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, e.g. information technology, computer sciences, electrical engineering, optoelectronics, mathematics, physics, or related.
