Your tasks


We are looking for you to support us from April 1st, 2023 in our Head Office in Essen, Germany.
Your tasks:
  • As a Finance Trainee you will get the chance to work in core areas such as Accounting, Controlling, Finance and other financial areas like Real Estate Management, Procurement, Financial Strategic & Governance, and many more
  • During the trainee program in our Head Office or in our worldwide country organizations you will get a general overview of our complex business, establish your network throughout our company (especially the Finance community) and develop your intercultural competencies
  • You will be able to participate and take over responsibility for projects, such as the implementation of an intelligent SpendCube solution, the implementation of a new global risk management tool or the development of new data analytics approaches
  • You will get the chance to further develop your tool expertise, e.g. Power BI or SAP
  • You will support the continuous development and documentation of procurement processes (harmonization and standardization)
  • Depending on your interests, you will be able to get insights into Risk Reporting, Audit Services, Global Spend Governance, Procurement, Real Estate Management and contribute to the identification and conceptual design of optimization potentials (e.g. data quality improvement, automation potentials), as well as actively contribute to tool evaluations, the respective decision process and potential implementation phases
  • You can support our change to a data driven steering approach, e.g. by preparing and conducting trainings

Requirements

Your profile:
  • Very good university degree in business administration or procurement/real estate management, data analytics, digitalization/technology or logistics
  • First work experience, ideally in finance, controlling, procurement or real estate and in using process methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking, Scrum)
  • Strong analytical and organizational working style with positive personality who loves to work in a fast-moving scale-up environment with different people around the globe to be able to work on eye-level with all relevant business partners
  • Good social skills and intercultural competencies
  • Customer-orientated team player with passion and power
  • Experience with SAP, Business Warehouses, RStudio or other statistic programs is an advantage
  • Well-developed communication skills and an affinity for MS Office tools, such as PowerPoint, Excel and similar office applications
  • Proficient knowledge of English, a further language is an advantage
