Our client, a well-known European logistics company, has grown to a trusted brand in their sector over the last years. As being successful in their area, they would like to grow even more now and therefore are building up their first sites in Berlin and Cologne. It is their mission to revolutionize logistics, delivery, and shopping into a smooth, sustainable and all day available service.

We now seek you as Tech Ops Lead to drive and develop the Tech Ops team in Germany.

Tasks

As Tech Ops Lead, you will be responsible for setting up IT Support structures and processes for our offices and terminals in Germany, building up the Operations team and managing our ticket system.

Specifically, your tasks will include but not be limited to:
  • Ramp up and manage IT Support for our offices
  • Build the Tech Ops team to meet the market expansion requirements.
  • Manage IT equipment procurement through the accepted bid processes.
  • Roll out and implement infrastructure projects to our offices and terminals.
  • Coordinate and plan the team’s daily tasks and backlog
  • Negotiate and set requirements for vendors.
  • You will be working in close collaboration with the company’s C-level management to plan and implement long term procedures for sustainable growth
  • Develop and nurture a talented Operations team.
  • Travel between our terminals and offices to ensure the best quality of IT services is accessible to our teams.
Requirements

You are an experienced Tech Ops with affinity to build tech infrastructures and Tech teams from scratch. You are a communicative person who likes new challenges.

  • Experience in leading a team of engineers. Start-ups experience is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in managing IT-related operations, implementing processes, and providing excellent service to all parts of the organization
  • You have the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with a focus on clean solutions.
  • Experience leading and managing IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies.
  • You are a social person and you like to share your knowledge and experiment new methodologies with your team members.
  • Familiarity with different Cloud technologies.
  • Familiarity with Mac and Windows operating systems
  • You have experience in procurement and purchasing in your previous roles.
  • High level of commitment and solution orientation paired with strong assertiveness
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German (spoken & written)
  • Potentially willing to travel within Germany and Europe
