- The position holder will be managing and developing supplier relationships and ensuring strong launch performance at start of production.
- They will also be supporting Production Facilities in 6 European countries on resolving critical issues with suppliers.
DEUTSCH
- Leitung, Überwachung und Überprüfung der APQP-Aktivitäten (Advanced Product Quality Planning) der Lieferanten, einschließlich Kontrollplänen, PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis), Prozessfluss, SPC (Statistical Process Control), Run at Rate und PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).

- Entwicklung von kontinuierlichen Verbesserungspläne und Metrics zur Leistungsbewertungen in Zusammenarbeit mit Lieferanten, um Cost Reduction-Zielen zu erreichen.
- Leitung von Lieferanten-APQP-Kick-off-Meetings und -Design-Reviews.
- Teilnahme an Program Launch-Meetings und -Reviews, Identifikation von Issues und Eskalation von Issues (bei Bedarf).
- Standortbesuche bei Lieferanten zur Durchführung von Audits, Performance Reviews und PPAPs.
- Identifikation von Risiken und/oder potenziellen Fehlermöglichkeiten in Lieferantenprozessen sowie Entwicklung von Risiko-Minderungspläne.
- Unterstützung verschiedener Teams sowie Zusammenarbeit mit technischen Abteilungen/Personal im Werk, um Issues kreativ zu lösen.
- Alle anderen Aufgaben, wie zugewiesen.
- Direct, monitor and review supplier Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities, including control plans, Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA), process flow, Statistical Process Control (SPC), run at rate and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
- Ensure processes are completed to agreed standards and delivered on time.
- Assist suppliers in problem-solving, including Root Cause Analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Conduct supplier assessments/audits as per AAM standards.
- Support Production Facilities in resolving supplier issues and managing external audits as such as IATF 16949/customer audits.
- Work with suppliers to develop continuous improvement plans/metrics to monitor performance and achieve cost reduction targets.
- Lead supplier APQP kick-off meetings and supplier design reviews.
- Attend Program launch meetings & reviews, highlight concerns and escalate issues as necessary.
- Conduct supplier site visits to conduct audits, performance reviews and PPAPs.
- Identify risks and/or potential failure modes in supplier processes and develop risk mitigation plans.
- Support various teams and interact with technical departments/Assembly Plant personnel to find creative solutions to constraints.
- All other duties as assigned.
DEUTSCH
- Erfolgreich abgeschlossenes Bachelor-Studium der Elektrotechnik oder des Maschinenbaus
- Mindestens 7 Jahre Berufserfahrung in der Automobilindustrie, davon mindestens 2 Jahre in einer Lieferantenqualität-Position
- Zertifizierung als IATF16949 Lead Assessor erforderlich, eine/mehrere der folgenden Zertifizierungen von Vorteil:
- Zertifiziert Automotive Core Tools
- VDA 6.3 zertifizierter Auditor
- Zertifizierter Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
- Zertifizierter ASPICE (Automotive SPICE) Assessor
- Ausgeprägtes Verständnis von Automotive-Fertigungsprozesse (z. B. Stanzen, Fließpressen)
- Einschlägige Erfahrungen in der Umsetzung der globalen Qualitätsstandards IATF16949 und VDA 6.3
- Funktionelles sowie technisches Verständnis für elektronische Komponenten der Automobilindustrie (z. B. Steuergeräte, Aktuatoren)
- Erfahrung in der Durchführung von Lieferantenaudits, Erfassung und Analyse von APQP/PPAP/Capability Data
- Fähigkeit, technische Zeichnungen zu lesen, einschließlich geometrischer Bemaßung und Tolerierung (GD&T)
- Kenntnisse in Value Engineering, Lean Manufacturing und Six Sigma sind von Vorteil
- Hochmotiviert, multitaskingfähig, in der Lage, Prioritäten zu setzen und auf Ziele hinzuarbeiten
- Bereitschaft zu Reisen innerhalb Europas - bis zu 50% der Arbeitszeit
- Gute Kenntnisse der MS-Office-Anwendungen (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- Successfully completed Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- At least 7 years professional experience in an automotive environment, at least 2 years in a Supplier Quality position
- Certification as IATF16949 Lead Assessor required, one or more of the following an advantage:
- Certified Automotive Core Tools
- VDA 6.3 certified auditor
- Certified Six Sigma Green/Black belt
- Certified ASPICE (Automotive SPICE) assessor
- Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes (e.g. stamping, extrusion moulding)
- First-hand experience in implementing global quality standards IATF16949 and VDA 6.3
- Functional and technical understanding of automotive electronic components (e.g. ECUs, actuators)
- Experience in conducting supplier audits, completing and analyzing APQP/PPAP/capability data
- Ability to read technical drawings including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Knowledge of Value Engineering, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma an advantage
- Highly motivated, able to multitask, set priorities and work towards goals
- Readiness to travel within Europe - up to 50% of working time
- Good skills in MS-Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and spoken English, strong German language competence an advantage
