Description

Amazon Monitron is a brand new AWS service offering end to end predictive maintenance solution including the sensor and gateway devices. Monitron is part of AWS Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI-ML) organisation, bringing the power of ML to new application fields.

Amazon Monitron is looking for a Software Development Engineer who is equally passionate about the technology and technical challenges in software development as collaborating with business and other domain experts (firmware, hardware, science and UX) and communicating with business teams to enable the success of the end to end solution for our customers. We develop and apply quantitative algorithms (e.g. machine learning, computer vision) to solve real-world problems and applications at global scale.

Our teams are intentional about attracting, developing, and retaining amazing talent from diverse backgrounds. We cultivate a welcoming and inclusive culture, and recognise the importance of a good work/life balance, with flexible schedules depending upon the role. The team members comprise a wide range of skill sets and experience levels, providing opportunities for new members both to be mentored and for mentorship.

Here at AWS, we embrace our differences. We are committed to furthering our culture of inclusion. We have ten employee-led affinity groups, reaching 40,000 employees in over 190 chapters globally. We have innovative benefit offerings, and we host annual and ongoing learning experiences, including our Conversations on Race and Ethnicity (CORE) and AmazeCon (gender diversity) conferences. Amazon’s culture of inclusion is reinforced within our 14 Leadership Principles, which remind team members to seek diverse perspectives, learn and be curious, and earn trust.
