Then we’d love to hear from you!We are looking for a new (Senior) Software Engineer (m/f/d) Android framework to support our dynamic and innovative OS & Media team developing cutting-edge solutions for Android Automotive OS. The team consists of skilled product owners, architects and software engineers.

What you do

Together with your team you develop the next generation of cutting-edge Android-based Infotainment Systems in close collaboration with top car makers around the world.
  • You analyze customer requirements and transfer them into software designs and you ensure their efficiency and portability.
  • By implementing cross layers functions within vertical teams you extend the Android Open Source Project (AOSP).
  • As part of a project team you closely cooperate with the requirements manager, module owners, project manager and safety experts.
  • You keep high quality standards by unit/integration tests and continuous integration using state of the art technologies and tools.
  • You give guidance and guidelines to other developers.

What you bring

  • Essential Qualifications
    • You hold a university degree in computer sciences, electronics, mathematics or related sciences.
    • You have several years of proven experience with embedded systems.
    • Your experience with design and development of complex systems, including requirements analysis, estimation, implementation and testing convince us.
    • You work independently and proactively develop solutions in our globally distributed teams.
    • With your distinctive communication skills, you communicate technical concepts clearly to customers, partners and the site R&D teams.
    • Your profile is completed by fluent communication skills in English and German is a plus.
  • Learnable skills
    • Experience with automotive technologies and processes (e.g., Automotive SPICE) is a plus.
    • Being familiar with Linux, AOSP and hypervisor solutions is an advantage.

This position requires a readiness to travel (~5%).
