Senior Program Manager (Learning & Development)

We are looking for an exceptionally talented, bright and driven person to join our Human Resources team as Senior Program Manager (Learning & Development). In this role, you are responsible for the creation and delivery of learning initiatives and development programs supporting field HR roles. This role will support curriculum design, execution of development programs, scoping and designing of learning contents as well as communication management. You will partner with internal and external experts to build effective relationships with learners, Point of Contacts and Subject Matter Experts within EU.

We expect the Senior Program Manager (Learning & Development) to be a passionate customer and learner advocate, to communicate clearly and concisely in a way, which motivates others to action. We also expect the ideal candidate to have proven capabilities in managing projects as well as to demonstrate attention to details and the ability to effectively manage, often competing, priorities. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for development, a high level of flexibility, commitment, and the ability to tackle ambiguity and process improvement. A proven record of knowledge management and familiarity with methods used in Learning Experiences Design to make learning engaging, easy to consume, timesaving and relevant is beneficial. Experience in a high growth organization is a plus as is work experience in multinational and virtual environment. Once safe, this role requires travel.

If currently located in the EU, relocation is not required for this role as it can be based at any Amazon location within the supported region.

The key responsibilities of this role will include, but not limited to:
  • Develop learning frameworks and drive content of learning initiatives through collaboration with subject matter experts and other business unit stakeholders.
  • Design, create, implement and manage learning programs and initiatives that upskill HR teams to support them being successful in their roles and prepared to grow further in their development.
  • Support and further develop smart and effective onboarding processes for new hires and internal transfers.
  • Contribute to reporting on leadership development activities and analyze data to drive results and program effectiveness.
  • Build relationships and engage with leadership teams, HR, talent development champions and central teams to drive program adoption and engagement.
  • Develop and implement Training Needs Analysis and feedback mechanisms to drive capability development roadmap.
  • Facilitate trainings in a variety of delivery modalities (virtual, hands-on/experiential, instructor led, remote classroom, synchronous/asynchronous) for a variety of audiences.
  • Ensure a standard execution of onboarding and proficiency programs across different teams and geographies. Regularly report to the leadership on progress and drive plans of action.
Basic Qualification

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as business, education, consulting, organizational development or equivalent post-secondary qualification.
  • Substantial experience in the areas of learning & develop with increasing levels of responsibility and scope.
  • Substantial experience of direct people management / people coordination in matrix organization.
  • Experience developing and implementing goals and strategies based on broader organization goals and Training Needs Analysis.
  • Program and Project Management experience that includes managing multiple cross-functional projects and initiatives in multinational teams and international environment.
  • Proven ability to deal with ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English.
  • Advanced Excel and numerical skills, being able to work with large datasets, extract relevant metrics and to evaluate and analyze data succinctly.

Preferred Qualifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Familiarity and/or experience with program management tools, content management systems, instructional design tools, and translation processes, e.g. ThinkingCap, Articulate Storyline, or similar.
  • Experience with Experimental Design & Research.
  • Experience with formulating and implementing training/performance improvement strategies, technologies, methodologies, and procedures for standardization and delivery throughout the organization.
  • A strong focus on internal customers’ needs and satisfaction, with an emphasis on demonstrating return on investment in training.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems and Design.
  • Experience with web-design including user experience, functionality and html.
