We are pleased to announce opportunities available for Senior Plannerin Frankfurt, Germany with an immediate start.

This is a senior position within a growing business and good opportunity for the ideal candidate to further develop both their career and position in a significant company.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

  • Responsible for a project or portfolio of projects (regional / sectoral)
  • Responsible for all aspects of planning, as defined by the Planning SOP
  • Reporting to Planning Department
  • Reporting to Business Unit / Project Management
  • Developing and maintaining schedules for pre-construction / construction / commissioning
  • Developing and maintaining progress databases
  • Progress reporting
  • Milestone projections, delay / float path analysis
  • Earned Value Management systems
  • Monitoring schedule performance and productivity
  • Auditing progress on site
  • Attending schedule meetings, liaising with client and subcontractors
  • Preparation of tender schedules
  • Preparation of histograms
  • Leading planning meetings
  • Supporting weekly workface planning systems
  • Resource / cash loading of schedules
  • Providing data for payment applications
  • Completing contract review reports
  • Responsibility for quality and accuracy of schedules and reports
  • Making relevant parties aware of issues and advising on solutions
  • Recording delay and disruption
  • Assisting in the preparation of claims and providing data for contractual disputes
  • Travelling to projects in order to carry out the above, if required
  • Managing, training, coaching, supporting, developing, leading staff, if required
  • Covering Planning Manager responsibilities when required
  • Covering Project Planner responsibilities when required
  • All other duties associated with role.

Essential Criteria for the Role

  • Must have the required VISA to work in jurisdiction.
  • Must speak English.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • General construction knowledge of sequences and interactions
  • Ability to work and communicate with project teams and business management.
  • Ability to communicate with client.
  • Level of experience (sectoral experience can be a factor)
  • Specific subcontractor planning experience (as opposed to client-side or MC)
  • Ability to train / coach / develop juniors.
  • Ability to manage teams.
  • Drive and initiative
  • Skill level on software
