For our Clinical Development & Data Operations department we are looking for a

Sr. Manager, R&D Enabling Technology (f/m/d) - R-142264

(full-time / permanent)

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Support the Associate Director R&D Enabling Technology Business Support developing and implementing the overall R&D platform strategy
  • Lead design, implementation, validation, and maintenance of global R&D electronic systems and related infrastructure. This includes but is not limited to Document Management and Collaboration, Laboratory Data (ELN) & general process automation
  • Partner with IT (I&T) and external vendors to establish development infrastructure and process to provide global solutions.
  • Lead the analysis of user report requests to determine optimal approach
  • Provide consultation as needed to scientific teams in the use of reporting tools.
  • Establish strategies, plans, and documentation for training and consultation to R&D personnel on usage standards and best practices
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with all R&D business functions, partner business functions like I&T (IT), Commercial and external vendors
  • Lead cross functional teams supporting development of global systems and processes
  • Provides expertise and leadership to drive innovation (e.g. improved access to data)
  • Identify and implement solutions to global systems issues and concerns, lead change management activity and take care of optimal adoption
  • Develop and provide metrics on system performance, cycle time and productivity metrics to support ongoing improvements in quality and processes.
  • Develop networks with external parties (key experts, contract research organisations) as pertains to data solutions to support key R&D programs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • University/College degree (BSc, MSc, Diploma) in an IT, technical or life science discipline or similar education.
  • At least 5 years of experience in R&D or IT with profound knowledge systems specifically in the area of Scientific Workflows, Document Management (OpenText D2, SharePoint) and ELN as well as with LIMS systems.
  • Experiences in the laboratory field would be very beneficial
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on process mapping and Business URS development
  • Comprehensive understanding of R&D processes from Research up to Regulatory Affairs - especially in the area of Product Development, including deep knowledge of respective regulations, data standards and Industry best practices
  • Experienced in Computer System Validation
  • Excellent communication and training skills, including English language skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member of a global team
