Overall Relevance for the Organization:
This role is responsible for managing the Operational Transfer Pricing Controlling function which supports the Corporate Tax - Transfer Pricing team by providing relevant and accurate analysis to enable fact-based decision making and then executing their Transfer Pricing guidance.
Our team are a business partner providing support via independent and reliable data models to Corporate Tax, Global Customs, Finance functions and Legal Entity Controlling. We support them in the implementation and execution of the transfer pricing (“TP”) models in line with the TP strategy defined by Corporate Tax. This requires a detailed understanding of markets and the adidas group companies, including its brand and trading companies, the creation and monitoring of adequate and effective policies and processes, correct and timely reporting as well as in-depth analyses combined with competent and professional business partnering.
Key Responsibilities:
Transfer Price Model:
Manage a team responsible for the calculation and execution of the TP model under the parameters defined together with the Corporate Tax / TP team.
Gain an understanding of the Corporate tax / TP strategy and its interactions with the operational TP models that are in place.
Understand financial accounting and planning policies, including relevant timelines, to manage tasks and required actions in the operational TP process.
Together with the business partners, help identify changes in the market and supply chain set up that could influence the TP model to enable better forecasting and execution of the group’s tax strategy.
Drive fact-based decisions by creating transparency throughout the Budget and Forecast process.
Communicate TP changes and provide explanations to key stakeholders.
Identify improvement potential, initiate corrective actions and implement improved checks and control processes, where required.
Legal P&L reporting & maintenance:
Prepare and deliver reporting packages based on the legal entity P&L and certain segmentation criteria for key adidas group companies.
Maintain comprehensive documentation substantiating the operational TP processes, calculations and controls.
Support the preparation of back-up documentation and relevant analyses for tax / TP submissions and as may be required in connection with tax or customs audits.
Support the year-end audit and fulfillment of auditor requirements.
Projects:
Support the Corporate tax / TP team in discussions about changes to the TP model, including the preparation of simulations and business cases for TP model changes.
Be part of any strategic discussions relating to the choice of TP model.
Support the implementation of changes in the business model of specific countries and projects involving TP changes.
Support the transformation journey of the adidas group’s operational TP system driving standardization, efficiency and process automation for operational TP tasks together with Corporate Tax
People management:
Manage the Operational TP Controlling team on a daily basis providing support, guidance, and feedback.
Create an environment which enables the team members to perform to a high standard.
Coach, guide, manage and develop the team.

Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities:
University Degree or equivalent preferably in Finance / Controlling or similar field
5+ years’ experience in Controlling or Transfer pricing environments within large international groups
Alternatively, 3+ years’ experience working in an International Tax advisory role.
Excellent analytical skills in order to analyze complex issues using a structured and methodical approach.
Experience with OTP tools and SAP preferred.
Experience of presenting and delivering to Senior Management.
High degree of stakeholder orientation and appropriate prioritization.
Ability to accept and meet critical deadlines with good planning and organizing skills
Experience of managing a team and coaching and developing individual team members.
Good communication skills and ability to deliver information and recommendations.
Good working knowledge of Excel
Business fluency in English (written and spoken)
