Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization

Drive and lead the development of procurement category practices on a global scale together with stakeholders, including
  • Define and deploy sourcing strategies for professional services
  • Develop, own and execute stakeholder management to maximize total cost of ownership savings and Procurement’s value contribution
  • Develop and Execute supplier relationship management strategies
  • Meet compliance targets with company policies, strategies, and processes
  • Deliver committed annual Procurement Savings targets & Working Capital improvements
  • Drive innovative approaches and continuous improvement practices for the category
Key Responsibilities Drive and lead the category strategy for Professional Services
  • Analyze category and defines category profile, incl. risk assessment, supplier base assessment and SRM strategy
  • Benchmark category practices to identify initiatives for improvement
  • Build category specific strategic plan in alignment with relevant business functions
  • Align strategic plan to financial budget and global business strategies
  • Define P2P and buying channel strategies, identify and consider automation potential and P2P/ channel effectiveness
Drive and lead market strategy implementation and savings realization
  • Initiate internal and external analysis (industry and supplier)
  • Consolidate requirements and act as business partner for business/ other functions, supporting the alignment and optimization of specification with the business / other functions
  • Lead/support contract implementation and drive contract compliance
  • Deliver annual savings according to the defined targets
Govern and support the work and efforts of a cross-functional sourcing team in all stages of a strategic sourcing project
  • Collaborate and align with global/ market/ country procurement teams as applicable
  • Drive supplier selection and fact-based negotiations
  • Lead e-RfX execution: Select supplier and drive fact-based negotiations
  • Collaborate with legal to finalize contractual agreement and its administration
  • Work with Procurement Leads and business stakeholders to implement and activate contracts globally
Drive commercial supplier relationship with key suppliers within the defined category scope
  • Implement, maintain and manage relationship with suppliers identified as key suppliers in the respective category, monitors performance of key strategic suppliers according to the guidelines
  • Lead supplier development activities: set up cross-functional review meetings with key strategic suppliers in order to improve performance and further cost / demand reductions
  • Support the identification of potential contract improvement opportunities and re-negotiations
Drive and manage relationship with key stakeholders and business representatives
  • Provide input on volume/ specification/ price to build smart consumption policies
  • Act as an escalation point for category related issues and drive resolution in line with global Procurement policies
  • Achieve “buy-in” from key stakeholders in the market for major procurement initiatives
  • Create and outline contribution for budget improvements
  • Foster that business needs are being identified, represented, and incorporated into category strategies
  • Act as Point of Contact for the business to assure business requirements are met

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Advanced in sourcing strategies and procurement best practices in Professional Services
  • Expert in professional services category management and sourcing execution on a global basis
  • Extremely good knowledge of procurement strategy development and conveyance
  • Strong knowledge of procurement tools and data, content and automation
  • Expert in risk and compliance management
  • Strong ability to analyze specifications and influence demand
  • Extensive capability to independently interact throughout adidas
  • Proficiency in MS Office and preferably Ariba Guided Buying, Ariba eSourcing, SAP Fieldglass
  • Strong experience in Zero Based Budgeting Methodology related to Prof. Services
  • Project and process management knowledge and experience
  • Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Action oriented and solution minded team player with high degree of self-management
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written
Requisite Education And Experience / Minimum Qualifications
  • A master’s degree with emphasis on the areas of business, economics, finance, procurement or legal, or comparable professional education
  • At least 15 years’ working experience in similar or adequate roles in Professional Services in global companies
