The € 350bn European logistics market is huge in size but barely digitized and highly inefficient and fragmented. Shippers struggle to find reliable carriers at stable prices and carriers struggle to find regular shipments and geographically predictable trips leading to 30% of all trucks running empty in Europe. This creates a massive opportunity.

InstaFreight is bringing logistics into the digital age. As a digital platform for shippers and carriers, InstaFreight better serves its core customers using technology. Our platform enables us to match supply and demand more efficiently than the legacy players who still use telephones and spreadsheets. The results: higher utilization, standardized high quality, faster payments and affordable capacity. Digitalization and automation of processes enable end-2-end transparency, elimination of manual work and cost savings up to 25% for shippers.

We deploy modern technology in agile organizational structures and regularly challenge what has been the status quo in the industry for decades. As a result of this disruptive approach, we are transforming a massive industry and are growing rapidly.

THE ROLE

As a member of our new business development team you strategically identify, approach and acquire customers, using your awesome interpersonal and investigative skills. You will be an essential part of InstaFreights’ journey to become Europe’s #1 digital land transport provider and the first person to interact with potential new customers. You are working closely with the teams of account management and operations to ensure that our vision is transported towards our customers.

THE TASKS
Being Instafreight’s first touchpoint with new customers, you will:

  • You identify, investigate and acquire potential new accounts via phone, E-mail, LinkedIn or on events
  • You thrive in screening, researching, monitoring and evaluating companies and their business, as well as identifying key decision makers
  • You actively build a strong pipeline of qualified leads by cold calling and researching
  • You spark customers’ interest in Instafreight and win them for joining our journey of transporting land transport into the future
  • You enjoy presenting and discussing Instafreights services with potential customers (operational to C-Level)
  • You arrange and prepare second calls for the account management team
  • You support our Account Managers in various tasks and take over first responsibilities for your future role
Your Profile

  • You want to take your first steps in a sales related role and are interested in logistics
  • You love to learn everything that is related to the customer acquisition process, such as customer screening, evaluation or pitching
  • You thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment and have a growth mindset
  • You are a concise communicator, able to effortlessly engage across all levels of seniority across the business
  • You are an active listener and good speaker, who loves to interact with people (via calls and in person)
  • You seek ownership of your responsibilities and love to work in teams
  • You are fluent in French and English (German is very welcome too)
  • You are hungry for success, want to grow professionally and personally with us and climb up the career ladder with us
  • Work experience in the logistics or tech industry is highly welcome, but not required
