At the Area of Supply Chain Management we analyze and optimize
supply chains and publish our results in international journals. In
research, we work closely with other international universities,
ECONtribute the Cluster of Excellence, and the Center for Social and
Economic Behavior and are the highest ranked German Supply Chain
Area in the in the SCM Journal List Ranking for analytically-focused
journals. One focus is on the use of state-of-the-art approaches in
the fields of analytics, machine learning and optimization of real-
world problems.

YOUR PROFILE

» PhD in business administration, computer science, economics,
information systems, (business) engineering,
(business) mathematics or a comparable field of study

» Interest in the development and implementation of
quantitative analysis and optimization methods

» High motivation and enjoyment in working
on challenging questions

» Ability to work in a team and good communication skills
» High willingness to deliver
» Good English skills
» International experience
» Publications or evidence of potential to publish

in international peer-reviewed journals

The position is available immediately on a full-time basis (39,83
hours per week). It is initially limited for two years with a potential
extension for one more year. If the applicant meets the relevant
wage requirements and personal qualifications, the salary is
based on remuneration group 13 TV-L of the pay scale for the
German public sector.
