Legal Entity: Johnson Matthey Deutschland GmbHThe primary role of the NPI Project Coordinator is the delivery of NPI projects covering the NPI phases from EVALUATE to CLOSE-OUT following the GNPI ways of working. This role focuses on low & medium risk / complexity projects to support Key Account Programme Manager(s) and regional customers.
The NPI Project Coordinator leads the communication with external stakeholders (customers, canners, substrate suppliers) as well as all relevant internal functions (Sales, Technology, Operations and Finance), ensuring cross-functional activities are aligned to meet the required performance, quality standard, customer timings and requirements with minimum risk and exposure to Clean Air.
The NPI Project Coordinator reports directly to the Regional NPI Programme Manager.
Your responsibilities:
- Support Global or Regional accounts in the project management of low & medium complexity / risk projects from EVALUATE to CLOSE-OUT using project management tools, processes and systems, ensuring customer requirements and expectations are achieved to meet key milestones, in particular technical submission, quotation and successful product launch.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate programme/project plans to ensure all cross-functional activities are aligned to meet the required performance, quality standard, customer timings and requirements. Identify key challenges and implement timely actions to achieve the desired output.
- Develop and maintain business relationships with external stakeholders (customer, canners and substrate suppliers) and internal key customer contacts in various functions and organizational levels and understand the business and program objectives for targeted customers.
- Manage changes to the overall programme scope if necessary (with necessary steering committee approval) to ensure programme delivery.
- Support resolution of risks and issues at the customer project level, coordinating with appropriate functions and external stakeholders to facilitate resolution and decision-making, escalating through the Programme management organisation if necessary.
- Identify changes, amendments and opportunities for continuous improvement of the NPI process, skills and KeyedIn or other systems used to manage projects.
- A university degree with substantial experience; likely to have obtained a relevant professional business or technical qualification or sufficient relevant experience developed in JM or externally
- Experience of applying project management methodology, tools, techniques and terminology
- Experience of working globally across different functions and cultures
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proven ability to present information to diverse audiences
- Excellent interpersonal and organization skills, ability to pay close attention to detail
- Ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities
