Job Title

Maintenance & Engineering Manager (m/f/d)

Basic function
  • Managing, coordination and supervision of Maintenance Department within the KPIs especially HSE, unreliability and costs.
  • Provide a motivated workforce with high safety awareness and provide an efficient service to all departments at the Bayreuth site.
  • The purpose of the job is to optimize the equipment and processes on site so that site can maintain a leading position in reliability, Quality and cost structure.
  • Assure all CAPEX projects will be implemented as scheduled. Manage Capex budget actively and keep the monthly forecast within requested accuracy. Make sure that safety aspects of Capex projects are addressed correctly.
  • Facilitate a “Goal Zero” and every day excellence culture. Strive to no incidents for occupational and process safety during implementation of projects and process improvements.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Identification and implementation of improvement projects
  • Lead in Capex-projects including Capex controlling and Capex forecast
  • Lead in MOC-process regarding technical changes
  • Challenge production process for continues technical improvement
  • Manage people in Maintenance department in accordance with GoalZero and Operational Excellence; motivate people to use AhA and BBS system
  • Ensure maintenance work force is knowledgeable in company safety requirements and the required corporate, local and legal standards are maintained
  • Install and maintain a maintenance strategy and procedures that ensure that the equipment and services on site are at the highest possible standard with the aim of continuous improvement of the unreliability figure
  • Set up maintenance budget, organize allocation of budget to the predefined categories and track costs / budget, assuring scope delivery with given budget
  • Support HSE Department in terms of Process Safety
  • Develop and execute reliability improvement plans using Path to Excellence strategy
Qualifications
  • Master or bachelor degree in Chemical or Process Engineering
  • More than 5 years of experience in maintenance, process engineering or project management
  • Experience in extrusion / compounding would be appreciated.
  • Structured way of working
  • Excellent communication and networking skills
  • Ability to motivate people towards common goals and objectives
  • German fluent, very good English
