Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and diligent Junior Legal Counsel to join our legal team in Munich, focusing on employment law matters. In this dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will support a range of legal initiatives related to labor relations, employee management, compliance, and employment contracts within the advertising and marketing sector. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal support and advice on a wide range of employment law matters, including employee contracts, workplace policies, and disputes.
  • Assist with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment agreements and other related legal documents.
  • Support the HR department on compliance with German labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Advise on disciplinary actions, employee grievances, and terminations while ensuring compliance with labor regulations.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in employment law and assess the impact on the business.
  • Collaborate with external legal advisors as needed to handle litigation or complex matters.
  • Participate in internal trainings to ensure best practices in employment law are upheld across the company.
  • Support other legal matters, as necessary, including corporate or commercial issues that overlap with employment law.

Qualifications:

  • Successfully completed the First and Second German State Examinations (Staatsexamen).
  • 1-3 years of experience in employment law, ideally within a law firm or in-house legal team.
  • Excellent knowledge of German employment law and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Fluency in German and a good working knowledge of English.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders, including HR and senior management.
