Joint All-Domain Command and Control Tactical Data Link SME, Senior

Key Role

Deliver expert recommendations and support to a Component Air Operations Center (AOC) on operational implementation of new JADC2 and communications systems within AOC. Empower agile command and control (C2) capabilities by providing a common operating picture at fixed, distributed, and mobile locations in an all-domain environment. Provide operational and exercise Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) communication architecture development and support that further enhances AOC joint and partner connectivity, including but not limited to: Mission Partner Networks, new network concepts and designs, cross-domain solutions, new interface, gateway, sensor integration, distributed operations, and other JADC2 systems/capabilities employed by the AOC. Support large-scale engineering projects that develop network and communication systems that enhance the planning, coordination, and execution of C4ISR with our joint, allied and coalition partners to expand air and space capabilities. Capture assessments and after-action deliverables, including talking points and recommendations for the future of JADC2 integration within the C4ISR network as it relates to joint and partner nation operations and exercises.

Basic Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience supporting tactical or operational C2 communications systems or Tactical Data Link (TDL) operations (USAF AFSC 13B/1C4/1C5/1A3/17D/3C0/3C1/3C2 or corresponding Joint MOS)
  • 3+ years of experience with DoD mission analysis or system of systems engineering in an operational communications or C2 support role
  • Knowledge of architecting, designing, securing, installing, troubleshooting, and documenting integrated network and network operations solutions
  • Knowledge of IT management principles, including ITIL and the DoD Enterprise Service Management Framework (DESMF)
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS Diploma or GED
Additional Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience with enterprise-scale networks
  • Experience with DoD-level Mission Engineering activities
  • Knowledge of deep subject matter expertise in at least one DoD mission, functional, or technology areas
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and communicate with senior civilian and military leadership at the MAJCOM, OSD and Joint Staff
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • BA or BS degree
