About The TeamDoorDash is looking for top-talent to play a pivotal role in building our business! As a founding member of our International Sales Team, you will play a key role in hiring, managing and coaching sales leaders and individual contributors in our newest markets. We’re looking for people with strong language skills, extensive market knowledge, and excellent working relationships across Europe who are inspired to bring their experience, passion and skills to make an impact in the community, build our in-market Sales Teams from the ground up, and graduate them from Launch to the permanent sales organization. About The Role
This is a role for people that get excited about building teams and processes from 0-1. You will be the tip of the spear, acting as the DRI (Directly Responsible Individual) for building our SMB/MidMarket sales teams from the ground up. This will involve hiring, training, ramping, coaching, and graduating our Launch Market sales teams from Launch to Permanent status. You will work closely with product, contract ops, Strategy, Merchant Services, and Support teams to build a best-in-class Merchant experience from first touch through activations.
In this role, you will hit aggressive hiring and launch goals, scope tools and put together compliant processes, and overall be the first point of contact and boots on the ground to ensure successful market launches.

- Hire Well - There is nothing more important than building the in-market teams. You will bring a strong focus to interviewing both leadership and individual contributor positions for multiple roles both pre and post-sale. The result will be a team of owners and leaders with a strong diversity of experience that accurately represents the markets in which they are selling.
- Be a strong people leader - Assess the strengths and weaknesses of your team and manage accordingly; provide weekly and monthly performance reports with your team; experience coaching and developing a high velocity sales team. You will play a supporting role to direct reports in many different ways- from prospecting the top new restaurant groups to sourcing the decision maker, to creating the sales decks and helping with the close.
- Be an Owner. You will be able to not only guide the team efforts, but also lead by example. Field days, pitch practice, and doing what it takes to help your team hit your targets is essential in this role. There is no task too small.
- 1% Better Everyday. Our International Sales Manager will set the team up for success by communicating product and organizational changes as well as sharing proven methods for success. The Outside Sales Team will be held accountable for outreach/pipeline metrics, and you will motivate the team to exceed these targets. You can also help identify and coach when you see areas of opportunity for reps to improve.
- Collaborate. You will work closely with the Head of International Sales to prioritize regions and cuisine types, train your team on new products and business updates, and will help your team approach lead lists, exceed effective targets, and directly contribute to the expansion into new markets and services.
- Scale. While there will be other major wins along the way, your proudest moments will be when the teams you have built become self-sufficient and are ready to graduate into the permanent sales organization. This is a dynamic role, where you will build something from scratch, help it grow, then transition off to other launch markets.

- DoorDash first — you work well with others under the one team one fight mindset and choose optimism on solving pain points in our sales and service of top merchants
- Insightful communicator — you operate at the lowest level of detail to understand our merchant’s or operation’s problems, think outside of the room to identify the audience who most needs to help solve them, and clearly articulate in writing and verbally why these problems should be prioritized
- People expert — you have led People OKRs to help others get 1% better every day, regularly lead trainings to demonstrate what it means to be customer obsessed, and, because of your focus on culture and growth, maintain exceptional employee voice survey results
- Empathetic leader — you have a track record of making room at the table for diverse perspectives; building a team that achieves the what is not enough, you accomplish the what and (not or) display our values in demonstrating the how
- You are an experienced Manager or above in a sales role with extensive management experience
- You excel in building and managing sales teams that consistently exceed acquisition targets
- You have found creative ways to motivate your team and grow their competencies
- You have a track record of hiring, developing, and retaining diverse talent
- You are based in Europe and fully bilingual in English and at least one other regional language.
- You are a road warrior, comfortable with travel 75%+ of the time.
- You have experience driving results, influencing the direction of a sales team’s strategic performance and providing recommendations to improve the strategic plan.
