Global Procurement Operations manages and develops the global standardisation and automation of all procurement-relevant processes on an end-to-end basis and in alignment with all relevant stakeholders, e.g. Procurement, Accounting, IT, Tax, Controlling, and Risk Management.
Global Procurement Operations’ main target is to deliver best-in-class processes and tools for strategic, tactical and operative procurement. This includes the definition and implementation of a global tool strategy for end-to-end processes in Plan-to-Strategy (P2S), Source-to-Contract (S2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and provision of professional support for the global tool suite. To ensure a high automation rate and user adoption rate, procurement operations harmonises and standardises procurement-relevant business processes on a global level.
For the global team, we are seeking a solution manager for procurement tools with a focus on global implementation of procurement tools and management of external support providers (near-/offshore).
Your job
- Supporting the global procurement tool strategy and roadmap for
- Plan-to-Strategy (spend and process analytics, category management, KPI monitoring)
- S2C: Source-to-Contract (eSourcing, eAuctioning, supplier management, supply risk management, contract lifecycle management)
- P2P: Procure-to-Pay (budget, purchase requests including catalogues, purchase orders, reception and stock, invoices, validation workflows for purchase requests and invoices)
- Leading and supporting change management, tool-rollout and implementation initiatives in a matrixed organisation across multiple countries and business units
- Implementing regulatory requirements into existing tool landscape
- Managing interfaces with relevant stakeholders, i.e. the departments Category Management, Operative Procurement, Master Data Management, Accounts Payable, IT
- Managing external service provider for L1–L3 Coupa platform support (near-/offshore)
- Managing and solving platform/tool issues
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives/change requests in close cooperation with process excellence members
Proactively monitoring processes to identify efficiency improvements for Munich Re’s procurement processes jointly with Coupa community
Your profile
- Degree in computer science or economics/business administration with focus on process management
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex challenges and search for new solutions outside of traditional approaches
- Strong IT technical and tool skills and “hands-on” mentality
- Ability to recommend and support technical solutions that fit to business objectives
- Strong project management skills and experiences in business case scenario development
- Advanced change management skills in matrixed organisations, proven ability to participate in change management programmes
- Excellent team player with ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical communities
- Knowledge of procurement and accounting processes
- Knowledge of and experience in service management
- Coupa/Celonis certification is a plus
- Very high level of customer focus and entrepreneurial thinking
- Ability to execute with minimal guidance and strong initiative
- Very good presentation skills
- Very good command of German and English
