In order to support Program & Project Commercial/Controlling, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a

Financial Controller(d/f/m)

The department Programme Controlling (TFACC) assumes the role as Finance Business Partner for all programmes of the Unit Combat Aircraft Systems including Eurofighter. Within our department, the team is responsible for all Integrated Logistic Support contracts for the National customers as well as for the Export customers. We are taking care of all finance processes including the financial supervision of these contracts with the goal of achieving the Revenue, Margin and Cash targets of this Programme Unit.

In order to achieve our objectives we are working with different departments within Airbus such as Accounting, Programme Management or Procurement, as well as with external partners like Eurofighter GmbH.

This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your Tasks And Responsibilities

Within the framework of your role you are responsible for the steering of the Revenue, Margin and Cash targets of the contracts in your area of responsibility.

This includes the regular preparation and compilation of the Estimate At Completion (EAC) according to IFRS15 regulations and in cooperation with the centres of competence (e. g. Engineering, Production) and with the Programme Managers.

When revenue- and cash-related milestones are achieved, you ensure the timely and compliant invoicing towards our Customers.

You generate and document autonomously the regular monthly closings including the annual financial statement.

You report Order Intakes and update and monitor contract values.

The field of your responsibility comprises furthermore additional planning processes such as Operative Planning and Forecasts as well as the associated reporting. For this purpose it is necessary to regularly review the programme status with the responsible Programme Managers.

In addition to the above, the following activities are part of your job profile:

• Steering and monitoring of the Cash Flow and of the Work in Progress / Inventories
• Generation of Profit and Loss statements and Cash Flow calculations for the reporting of actuals and plan values.
• Extraction of actuals from the relevant SAP-Systems and compilation of actual-plan assessments.
• Assuming of the responsibility for the financial role within the R&O process including participation in Risk and Opportunity reviews.
• Elaboration of recommendations with regards to improvement measures.
• Support of proposals.
  
  

The responsibility for Integrated Logistic Support contracts necessitates the regular interaction with Eurofighter GmbH, including the participation in international meetings.

Desired Skills And Qualifications

• You have a degree in Business Administration or a vocational education in finance with additional finance specific qualifications
• You have several years of working experience in the finance area, including in particular the generation of Profit and Loss statements, invoicing towards customers and monthly closings
• You display an analytical, autonomous and proactive way of working
• You are able to define and structure complex processes
• You display very good communicative skills in dealing with different stakeholders and across all hierarchy levels
• You are a team player and yield yourself and your capabilities to the achievement of the department’s goals
• You have a high proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP
• You have a very high affinity for data science/data wrangling/data visualisation and an advanced knowledge/several practical experience
• You speak fluent German and English
