A globally known PERE firm headquartered in London with $13 billion invested across major real estate asset classes is seeking a Financial Controller in Berlin, Germany.

The Duties:
  • Provide day-to-day financial support/operations for the Asset Management Team
  • Month-end and year-end closing process including preparation of partnership/investor distributions, financial statements, reconciliation, journal entries, management reports and cash flow analysis.
  • Manage and process the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
  • Ensure all tenant and property information is set up properly
  • Liquidity Planning and property management fee calculation
  • Oversee the annual budget process working with property management and providing accounting assistance to finalise the budgets to present to owners
  • Manage and calculate CAM estimates and year-end reconciliations process
  • Loan compliance reporting
  • Actively managing third parties
  • Manage new acquisitions on-boarding including preparing opening entries
  • Sales tax calculation
  • Work with outside service providers
  • Your Qualifications:
  • Native German and Fluent English speaking skills
  • 10 plus years of controlling or accounting experience
  • Strong experience in Tax, liquidity planning, and management
  • Experience in the German Real Estate Market
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
  • Well organised and good communication skills
  • Exercise a high degree of initiative, independent judgement, and problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach
