Location: GermanyPOSITION PURPOSE
We are looking for an experienced, motivated and creative Account Manager* to join our German Enterprise team.
You are responsible for selling Software AG’s entire solution portfolio into a set of key accounts within a dedicated industry. You act as a strategic advisor for customers, using a consultative and value-based approach, and are used to interact up to the C-level. You act in a team effectively leveraging internal resources, such as Sales Engineers and supporting functions, as well as selected partners to successfully generate qualified opportunities, expand our business with new and existing accounts and establish close partnerships with key customers.
Role Essentials
- Precise business planning, account and opportunity management, forecasting and revenue target achievement
- Explore and penetrate new accounts and buying centres in complex sales scenarios and engage with key stakeholders
- Establish relationships with the C-level of key customers to understand their business and key drivers
- Adopt the appropriate methodology to manage and control complex sales cycles using customer engagement models, such as agreed action plans
- Create and coordinate an environment of collaboration with customers, partners and your virtual sales team
- Tailor solutions to meet customers’ needs covering their key priorities and create a value proposition
- Entrepreneurial spirit with an affinity for collaboration and teamwork
- Understand Software AG’s products, services and competition and increase the value that customers attach to our unique capabilities
- Extensive experience in selling software-based solutions up to the C-level of customers, specifically into large accounts managing significant deal sizes
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas
- Hunter mentality with high affinity for value-based selling
- Excellent presentation skills and interaction with internal/external customers
- Ability to find, drive and close opportunities with your virtual team, build positive relationships and deliver significant sales success in an entrepreneurial way
- Excellent understanding of customers’ business, needs, challenges and expectations in specific industries
- Basic understanding of enterprise integration, IoT, business process management and digital transformation technology and marketplace
- BA/BS degree or equivalent and familiarity with internet technologies
- Proficient in German and English, both speaking and writing
