The Energy & Sustainability Business Consultant is responsible for leading and managing the entire Sales cycle for new and existing customers in designated Verticals across DACH region.The successful candidate will work closely with the
Regional and Vertical Sales Leaders, key business partners, Energy Audit Consultants and solution architect team to capture maximum share of demand (SOD) in the designated geography.
Reports directly to the European Energy & Sustainability Director and owns the complete sales metrics for Energy & Sustainability business not limited to orders closing, opportunity pipeline management, bid resource planning, financial orders forecast, account and life cycle management support.
Tasks
- Responsible for the delivery of the Annual Orders Plan for Energy & Sustainability in the DACH region (based on Orders).
- Engage with C-suite/Senior influencers within customer organization with Zero Carbon Objective programs and other Sustainability strategic objectives. Communicate the value
- Develop and internal and external partnership to drive and formulate high end value proposition
- Be informed on the local ZeroCarbon/ Energy & Sustainability legislation in the DACH region enabling market opportunities relevant to utilizing sustainability to drive strategic and business value
- Able to leverage financing & granting models for opportunities as they unfold as part of the EU Recovery and Resilience Funds and EU Green Deal within DACH region
- Be fully aware on the Honeywell offering as well as align with the Partnership networks on complementary offerings including Renewable Energy Source and micro-grid offerings.
- Actively grow a qualified opportunities pipeline of approximately 3 times the Annual Orders Plan for first 2 years with a healthy mix of both short term and longer-term opportunities.
- Identify portfolio gaps and latest market technology trends on Sustainability
- Provide reports and actively drive the health of KPIs such as to sales pipeline growth, conversion rate (HIT Rate)
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years in selling Energy Efficiency and Sustainability solutions and programs and/or Energy Performance Contracts
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent
- Good knowledge on renewable technologies including demand / supply balancing and micro-grids
- Proven track record of supporting clients on Sustainability & Energy Efficiency solutions
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively
- Ability to execute and effectively drive results
- Resourcefulness: ability to influence and collaborate with other HBT functions
- Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to empowerment
- Ability to quickly understand and evaluate sustainability business cases & sales opportunities
- High sense of urgency and goal orientation (thrives in fast paced environment)
- Exceptional communication skills including ability to take an independent stance when interfacing with cross functional stakeholders, while maintaining their respect and confidence
- Strong intellectual curiosity
- Good business and financial acumen
- Executive level relationship building skills
