BCG DV has partnered with one of the world’s largest coffee pioneers to launch 60beans(https://www.60beans.com/) a digital platform which will democratize access to specialty coffee. The new product connects high-quality speciality roasters with consumers across Germany and beyond. At "60beans", our core belief is that good coffee should not only be served in speciality coffeehouses, but accessible to all coffee lovers, whilst enabling passionate roasters to broaden their marketbase within Europe.

Underpinned by leading technology and a laser-sharp focus on the customer, our unique marketplace integrates a variety of brands across coffee, equipment, and accessories. Backed by a prominent investor, the venture combines industry experts, bold entrepreneurs, and passionate technologists committed to further developing the market for specialty coffee. BCGDV is supporting in building out their foundational team and is on the lookout for a Chief Product Officer to shape the product and bring it to the next level.

What you will do:
  • Define, own and execute our long term product strategy, OKRs, and roadmap.
  • Build, lead and coach a cross-functional engineering, product and design team, whilst continuing to scale the team in line with the growth trajectory.
  • Drive the product’s growth, iterate on features and ensure stability and scalability of the platform.
  • Drive decisions based on customer insights and data and oversee the execution, stepping in where necessary.
  • Build and implement processes, tools and reporting, ensure practical excellence.
  • Hire, mentor and scale brilliant product, UX/UI, data science, engineering colleagues, setting and reaching high standards for product quality and design;
  • Drive cross-functional execution alongside Marketing and Operations to deliver a perfectly personalized user experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices and create an environment open to experiments and innovation.

What we are looking for:
  • Extensive hands-on product management experience (ca. 8+ years) in the B2C, D2C environment, preferably with exposure to design and engineering.
  • Track record of building, leading and scaling cross-functional teams, as well as setting up structures and processes; experience in an early-stage start-up is a plus.
  • Proven experience developing, mentoring and inspiring teams.
  • Strong business acumen, familiarity with industry trends and best practices, data-driven mindset and curiosity for experimentation.
  • Customer obsession, passion for delivering incredible customer experiences.
  • Ability to operate effectively in both tactical and strategic capacities – can roll up your sleeves as needed.
  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills; impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written. Can adjust language and context to stakeholders from different backgrounds.
  • Native-level proficiency in English. German is a plus.
  • Passion for coffee!
