As a Project Manager (m/f/d) for Hearing Aids in our Technical Project Management Team in Erlangen you will be responsible to initiate, plan and execute project activities. You will closely work with international cross-functional R&D teams as well as support functions such as Quality, Procurement, Operation and Marketing.
Together with your team you will identify project risks and will establish counter measures. Project closure via learning from success and failure of the project together with the project team is part of the project manager job. Our projects follow our defined PLM process.
You will report to our Head of Technical Project Management.
In this role you will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate new product introduction activities to ensure material readiness and smooth transition of design transfer activities to mass production
- Ensure that project objectives and deliveries meet scope, quality, time and costs
- Project monitoring, controlling and regularly reporting to the project stakeholders and senior management
- Program management support
- Leading international project teams
- Coordination of all internal departments involved
- Responsibility for the entire project documentation
- Control of external partners
We expect you to have already successfully managed product projects in R&D - preferably consumer products or in the automotive sector. In addition, you are a strong communicator, knowing when to insist and when to compromise. You are a team player, ask for feedback and have constructive discussions with your colleagues. Creativity, attention to detail and a cooperative attitude are some of your strengths.
You most likely fit the following profile:
- Successfully completed university degree in engineering or adequate training
- At least 3 years of professional experience in product development of electronic or electromechanical systems
- Experience in project work, ideally in an international context
- Project management experience in development projects required
- Good knowledge of electronics, electromechanics or software development
- Basic knowledge of audiology is desirable
- Knowledge of the regulatory standards for medical devices is desirable
- Very good process understanding
- Basic knowledge of logistics and production processes
- Taking over initiative, motivated and result orientated
- Ability to learn fast
- Customer focused
