The Team

The strategic purchasing community in Trelleborg Antivibration Solutions is represented by a very divers team of professionals around the world. You will work closely with colleagues in UK, China, India, Finland, Switzerland and Germany. A very welcoming and friendly atmosphere with a one-team demeanour describes the purchasing department best.

Your Responsibility

The purchasing department is the vibrant heart of the company. Within the purchasing activities you are responsible to turn new product development projects into serial production. You are mainly responsible for projects for our sites in Germany and Switzerland, but you will also work together with our colleagues in India, China and Europe. Your responsibility includes:
  • Drive project activities and ensure the project results are delivered on time in full
  • Close collaboration with engineering, sales and suppliers
  • Coordination and prioritizing incoming new projects, purchasing related tasks and actions to align with the team
  • Evaluating quotes and deciding which suppliers to use in new projects together with engineering
  • Purchase order placement and order follow-up towards suppliers for components and materials to secure prototype build and production ramp-up
  • Review and estimate BOM (Bill Of Material) in terms of costs and multi-source alternatives
  • Find the best fit for the project and agree on prices and delivery arrangements from our list of approved suppliers
  • Proactively work on minimizing future risks of disruptions that can affect our customer happiness
  • Responsible for an excellent working relationship with internal and external partners
Your Profile And Skills

We are looking for somebody who is a good fit for our team, enthusiastic and with a can-do attitude. To make changes happen, we need you to be willing to go the extra mile and be an ambassador for new processes and structures. You need to work responsibly and independently, but at the same time as a great teammate.
  • Graduated with a University degree in Supply Chain Management/Business/Engineering or similar
  • Well experienced in project management and purchasing
  • Good technical knowledge and ability to read technical drawings
  • Structured and organized character with an excellent time management
  • Multitask to handle various projects at once
  • Enjoy bringing in new ideas and striving for process optimizations whenever you see the potential
  • Proficient in English. German will be a plus.
