As a Program Manager, you will be in close collaboration with 5 Program Managers in different locations - Europe, China, and the USA. In this role, you will be the central communication interface between customers, suppliers, development, production, and other involved parties.

Your responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating large cross-functional development teams from RFQ to Production launch
• As the overall project lead, you are responsible for a successful start of production and a healthy business case
• In this role, you are the central communication interface between customers, suppliers, development, production, and other involved parties
• Liaison with the sales, engineering organizations worldwide
• Managing budgets and reporting on fund allocation
• Participating in tender and grant application process including design, submission, and review for suppliers
• Identifying opportunities for continual improvement
• Ensuring relevant standards, processes and regulations are upheld
• Develop and implement a strategy for the program team, including developing a robust risk mitigation plan
• You regularly control the program progress (program- /project reviews, Gate reviews, phase exits) and regularly provide program reports to the leadership team
• You consistently monitor the project, identify potential risks/issues and implement corrective actions in close collaboration with the project stakeholders
• You plan and manage the project budgets (invests, R&D, unit cost & prices) within the targets
• You define, monitor, control and adjust the project timings and committed milestones/deliverables
• Coordinating and running events and workshops
• Reporting on program performance to executive team and directors
• Developing industry partnerships

Your Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferred with German OEM or Tier1
• Experience in areas of Electronics, Display technologies, Hardware, Software and manufacturing processes
• Experience in project execution throughout the entire development cycle until mass production
• Proven experience in project management and managing large programs.
• Several years of experience in resource and budget planning for project needs and tracking their completion
• Ability to quickly understand complex organizations, workflows, and product dependencies.
• Strong understanding of development and production processes in the automotive industry
• In-depth knowledge of modern project management (PRINCE/PMP certification would be beneficial)
• Experience in problem-solving and decision-making methods in the context of multi-disciplinary topics
• Leadership skills as direct superior or in a matrix organization
• Strong communication talent, high customer focus and team spirit
• Experience as a customer interface/consultant is an advantage
• Successfully completed a study of engineering
• Fluent knowledge of German and English
• Ability to travel internationally.
