Job Description

Huntington Ingalls Industries – Defense and Federal Services (HII-DFS) is seeking a Site Lead to support our customer, US Air Forces in Europe (USAFE), with the implementation of multiple projects on a multi-tenant program. The Site Lead will work closely with customers and staff in support of USAFE concerning the implementation of multiple projects throughout Europe. The Site Lead’s responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget, and within scope. Oversees all aspects of these projects’ onsite personnel, sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors, and summarizes progress of projects in compliance with all deliverables. Prepare reports for government customers and Program Manager regarding the status of all projects. The successful candidate will work directly with all of our USAFE clients to ensure projects are meeting all of their requirements and also identifying new areas of support.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for our relationships with USAFE customers and staff.
  • Responsible for providing program management oversight to multiple customers requiring coordination of various project requirements across planning stages with several subcontractors.
  • Involved in all phases of projects from inception through completion.
  • Projects will be based out of multiple locations utilizing established technologies to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems.
  • Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of projects within this program.
  • Acts as primary customer liaison for all project activities, leading project review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Develops new business or expands services with the customer.
  • Tracks milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Must have a current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from Project Management Institute (PMI) or Defense Acquisition Workforce (DAWIA) Program Manager Level III Certification.
  • Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across, and down multiple business and technology organizations.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
  • Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives.
  • Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
  • Demonstrated communication skills; both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff, all levels of management.
  • Clearance: Must have active TS clearance with SCI eligibility based on a Single Source Background Investigation (SSBI).

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with and working knowledge of assisting contractors to receive status under NATO Status of Forces Agreements once they have been offered a contract.
  • Experience managing performance-based projects and/or programs with multiple international performance locations.
  • Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies.
