What We Offer

The CFO (Chief Financial Officer) Community manages Covestro’s financial processes. It is also responsible for providing legal services and IT solutions to the company as a whole.

We are acting in the area of Application Services, where IT Solutions and Applications are implemented which are processing and supporting business processes. Within this area we are collaborating with different stakeholders in the business divisions and within IT by providing the IT solutions for them. Our team works globally and builds secure, high-performing, resilient, and efficient infrastructure for Covestro’s applications and workloads. We are providing continuous automation of cloud workload (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery). One element of our strategy is also to provide and run a Low Code platform to provide the opportunity for fast time-to-market business applications. Taking care for operational excellence in the application landscape and working together on pushing technological boundaries is our passion.
  • You will be responsible for the design of a low code platform and its subsequent operation
  • You will build a team to run the low code platform and support application teams with technical designs and implementation for their application
  • You will also act as an enabler for low code development in our company
  • The definition of suitable solutions for platform components as well as the "hands-on" implementation will also be part of your responsibilities.
  • You will also work closely with IT and business stakeholders to understand requirements and how they can be implemented in the low code platform.
  • You will optimize the implementation times for applications and thus the business value of the low code platform by reducing operational and development efforts through automation (e.g. CI/CD pipelines or workload implementation in AWS Cloud native services)

What You Offer
  • You have a university degree in computer science or natural sciences and already have sound professional experience in the areas of cloud-based application development and automation of application lifecycles or have a comparable education
  • You have professional, proven experience in building, developing and operating low code platforms, ideally Mendix, as well as cloud experience (AWS)
  • You also have a good understanding of Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery processes for automated software delivery
  • Agile working is part of your basic attitude and you are very familiar with agile ways of working and the corresponding tools
  • You are highly motivated to proactively learn new technologies and apply them in a value-adding way for Covestro
  • Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken, complete your profile
