The Amazon’s EU Hardlines Imaging team is seeking a highly creative and entrepreneurial Photography Assistant to join our unique and dynamic retail marketing organization. Our mission is to be the most customer-centric collective of creative thinkers, dreamers and doers. This manifests itself through visual design, branding, photography, video, and user experience design. As a Photography Assistant you will you will play a significant role in inspiring customers through images that create best-in-class brand content and shopping experiences. In this position, you will have the opportunity to help manage sample flow, prep and put-away product, build sets, and act as a second pair of hands and eyes for a photographer on set, executing lighting changes on photographers request. Photography assistant will also preform photography related tasks on Amazon’s AIS devices and table top product sets. Beyond these fundamentals, the assistant will be asked to reevaluate existing workflows and develop new processes to keep the studio at its highest possible efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities Include

Collaborates with studio team to ensure product workflow runs efficiently. Assists in the set up and taking down of studio equipment and lighting fixtures. Oversees equipment inventory and maintenance levels, inspect equipment to ensure fully operational. Troubleshoots basic production challenges under the direction of senior staff. May switch between prep and shooting role. Capture images on Amazon’s AIS Devices, turn tables, and table top sets. Create SOP in German and English. Support safety initiatives regarding studio workflow and processes.
Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Experience in operating, and creating SOP’s/Wiki’s for the Amazon AIS devices. Portfolio with some practical studio experience, or previous industry experience as a studio or location assistant. Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Proficient working knowledge of still and moving imaging software for Mac and PC platforms. Exposure to turn table photography. Experience with imaging software and color management applications. Basic German and English Language proficiencies.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in photography or a related field. Professional experience assisting in a commercial studio. Knowledge of commercial studio workflow. Accustomed to the intensity of the studio environment. An obsession for delighting customers. Self-driven and able to easily communicate creative ideas and collaborate in a team environment. Comfortable in a culture of continuous change

• Proficiency using Excel/Outlook/Sharepoint. Productivity-focused and proven to be a quick problem solver. High level of German and English Language proficiencies.
